This is a voting ballot for the Presidential election of 1884 showing Belva A. Lockwood for President, and Marietta L. Stow for Vice President on the Equal Rights Ticket. In 1884, Marietta Stow, resident of Oakland, organized a new political party, “The Equal Rights Party” and organized the first convention to nominate two women to the highest offices in the United States.
